Creating spatial lag matrices using Mata.

In looking into creating spatial lag matrices on stata, we found that we could create them using Mata.

However, the method was not quite clear.

First, the spatial lag matrix I want to create is a distance matrix for each country in Africa. The data is panel data.

I have the latitude and longitude information, but I don't know how to import them into mata and create the spatial lag matrix.
