  • A Mata Cheat Sheet poster

    Hi all,

I have created an A0 size Mata Cheat Sheet poster that you can print out and hang for some quick references:

    https://github.com/asjadnaqvi/The-St...atsheet_v3.pdf

Please also give comments, feedback, suggestions for improvement.

It is part of this Mata walkthrough guide:

    Best,

    Very nice!

A minor comment on your cheat sheet: For some matrix results, you display dots in the upper triangular part when the matrix is symmetric. These dots might be confused with missing values. In fact, in your square root example, the dots are indeed missing values. I suggest to remove the dots in symmetric matrices, as you have already done for the diag() example. Actually, illustrating the diagonal() function instead of diag() might fit better into the "matrix elements" section.

Thanks Sebastian! You are absolutely right about the dots. I have made the changes you have suggested and it is now updated.
