conformability error in variance() and quadvariance()

Is there a limit on the number of columns of the matrix we can pass to either variance() or quadvariance()? I'm trying to calculate the variance matrix for 75 partial effects, and this is the number of columns in my matrix. Both functions return conformability error.

Actually, the error is not in either function but rather when I try to send the matrix to Stata with st_matrix("V",V). Any idea why?

Sorry, it's neither. They all work fine. I'm getting the conformability error message from ereturn post in Stata. I apologize for the noise.
