  • Correlations for Panel Data

I am using panel data for the first time. I have data on 30 countries from 1990-2014. I wish to compute the correlations between the variables to see which ones can be ignored as I have too many variables. I was wondering if I need to use the simple correlation command or is there a different way of computing correlations for panel data. Please help. Thanks

    Rama:
    welcome to the list.
You have probaly misposted your query, which should have been addressed to the -General forum-, instead (this one is only for Mata-related questions).
That said, you may want to take a look at the compehensive suite of panel commands under -help xt- and related entries in Stata .pdf manual.
    Kind regards,
    Carlo
