  • Link to return to the forum's home page

Is it possible we get links, above the footer maybe, that allow us to navigate quickly back to the forum's list of topics (or anywhere else)? I'm talking about links like those that appear at the top of pages:

Home > Forums > Forums for learning to use the Forum Software > Using the Forum

Once I finish reading what might be a long list of answers for a particular topic, there's the need to scroll all the way back to the top of the page to return to the list of topics. Hitting the browser's "return" button is not satisfactory because the list of topics is not updated to reflect that the topic has already been read.
    You should:

    1. Read the FAQ carefully.

    2. "Say exactly what you typed and exactly what Stata typed (or did) in response. N.B. exactly!"

    3. Describe your dataset. Use list to list data when you are doing so. Use input to type in your own dataset fragment that others can experiment with.

    4. Use the advanced editing options to appropriately format quotes, data, code and Stata output. The advanced options can be toggled on/off using the A button in the top right corner of the text editor.

Works for me with Mozilla Firefox v27.0: clicking return button leads to the forum index page with the just-read post marked as read.

      Sergiy,

I'm using Mozilla Firefox 24.0 (can't update). The last few times it has worked for me also, but for some reason, it hasn't been working consistently.
