"Mark this channel as read"

Hello,

I have noticed that this forum (Using the Forum) has a button at the top right of the screen called "Mark this channel as read", but that the general Stata forum does not. Is this just me, or is there a way to get this button also to appear on the General forum? I find it handy to reset my reading markers.

To me it is exactly the opposite: The "mark this channel as read" button appears at the top right of the General Forum but not on this (Using the Forum) forum.

Do you have unread topics under the general Stata forum? I don't believe the button is visible if you have no unread topics.

I have many unread topics in the General Forum - when I chose "mark this channel as read" all threads/posts previously marked as unread are eventually marked as read.

But it is strange that *now* (not previously!) the button is shown to the right of the "filter" button! Don't know what happened in between.

Here is a screen shot of what I am seeing when moving to the forum "Using the Forum" (the "mark as read"-button does not exist there):

[sorry - it is impossible to upload the screen shot. When trying to insert it as an image in advanced edit mode or to attach it as a photo or picture, I am constantly receiving the error message "Image resize failed due to your image library not having support for this image type. UtF_mar-button.png" - I don't know anything about any image library, I simply want to upload a not too big .png-file, the same with an .jpg-file. I am giving up to include the screen shots here]

However, the button is visible top right of the window of this thread - and it is visible as well when moving the the forum "General". Very strange.

I think we are both experiencing the same thing Dirk - flakiness!

My buttons to mark all as read literally come and go as I navigate through the forums. It doesn't seem to depend on the number of unread threads in the forum.
