Marking topics as "solved"?

Dear all,

is there any way to mark a topic as "solved"? Of course, it is possible to edit the topic's title and add a prefix "[SOLVED]", but this probably is not the best way to do so.

Do I miss this feature, or is it not there?

That is not alien to some forums, where for example, a particular answer can be marked as "accepted". But here I think it's best just for the original poster to think in terms of trying to summarize and/or report back whenever there is a single, satisfactory conclusion. They need not have the last word, however.

thanks again for pointing things out. As I recognize now, it's not possible to edit a topic's title afterwards. As you mention, it should not be needed as long as the original poster sums things up or reports back with the solution.
