  • latent class logit postestimation: lclogitml

    Dear all,
I am facing an error message, while running the lclogitml command in STATA/ IC11.2. Actually, in the first instance, I used the lclogit command as recommended by Pacifico and Yoo (2012) to cluster pineapple consumers into 4 segments. Here is the command I used:

. lclogit choixpro prix notgout lnju, group(numfich) id(numfich) nclasses(4) membership(agpr agtr rich urbain disdom) seed(1234567890)

Then, in order to get class-specific inference, I used the lclogitml command as follows:

    . lclogitml, iter(5) switch nopost

However, I got the following error message:
-gllamm- is initializing. This process may take a few minutes.
    (error occurred in ML computation)
(use trace option and check correctness of initial model)
Can someone help me to understand why I am having this error message and how I could fix it?
    Thank you very much

    Fifamin

You have been posting exactly the same question using a different title some days before.

Note that it will only create confusion posting the same question using different topics. Please read the Statalist FAQ and think about #17.
