Convert stata12 data for stata10 using saveto9.exe

HI, I just wanted to share with the Forum my experience with saveto9.exe. It can easilyconvert stata12 data files to data files that can be used in stata10.

I sent an email to Sergiy Radyakin after coming across his use13.ado. Sergjy suggested that I could either use saveto9.exe or use12 command. I used saveto9.exe and I have managed to convert my stata12 data into a dataset that I can use in stata10. I have copied the links below for your reference.

Dear Amy,

I am glad my program worked for you and thank you for sharing your experience! Note that Stata is really not required for this conversion, the program can be called directly from Windows or batch files. But it is designed to be used in conjunction with other software (SPSS, etc) and will cooperate with Stata nicely too. Just place the call to it in your do-files (since this is an external executable, use the prefix shell )
