Dear Statalisters,
just a warning on a possible bug in the very useful command kountry, version 2.1.6 12aug2013
In the ancillary file kountry.dta, Russian Federation is matched to ISO 3166 code 810, while the official ISO 3166 for Russian Federation is 643.
(810 is the code of former USSR, more details here: https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/#iso:code:3166:RU)
Therefore, all commands kountry var, from(iso3n) to(whatever) return empty cells for Russian Federation whenever it is coded as 643 (i.e. in the OECD PIAAC dataset).
One could easily change her/his own ancillary dta, but it could be very useful if it were fixed in the ssc archive, dividing clearly former USSR from actual Russian Federation.
