Bar graphs patterns

Is it possible to fill bar graphs with patterns instead of just colours?

With minor exceptions, official Stata does not support stripes, whether straight, wavy, or of some other kind; nor does it support stipples, spots, polka dots, or other kinds of patterns.

Outside official Stata, the only work that springs to mind is that of Sergiy Radyakin: see e.g. https://ideas.repec.org/f/pra699.html He is active on this forum and may well comment at length.
