joint(non-nested) testing

I would like to run the multivariate analysis by each construct and then would like to run my final model including variables with significant p values from each construct.

For example,
Model 1
Dependent variable: effectiveness
Primary independent variable: location
Other covariates related to construct A: b c d

Model 2
Dependent variable: effectiveness
Primary independent variable: location
Other covariates related to construct B: e f g

Model 3
Dependent variable: effectiveness
Primary independent variable: location
Other covariates related to construct C: h i j

Model 4
Dependent variable: effectiveness
Primary independent variable: location
Other covariates related to construct D: k l m
------------------------------

Final Model
Dependent variable: effectiveness
Primary independent variable: location
Other covariates : variables with significant p values drawn from each model 1, 2, 3, 4


Primary independent variable, location should be included in all of the models.

What kind of tests to get the final model and how can I do that?
