  • Call for presentations: 2025 UK Stata Conference, 11-12 September in London

    First call for presentations:

    Timberlake Consultants and the scientific organisers Tim Collier, Roger Newson, and myself are delighted to be now accepting presentation submissions for the 2025 UK Stata conference (11-12 September, London).

    We seek submissions of abstracts for either:
    • a longer 25-minute presentation (followed by 5 minutes for questions);
    • a shorter 15-minute presentation (followed by 5 minutes for questions);
    • a poster + lightning talk on the poster (with early career prize for this category*).
    Any topic related to Stata or relevant to Stata users is appropriate, including but not limited to the following:
    • New community-contributed commands for model estimation, graphing, data management, results reporting, or other purposes;
    • New approaches to using Stata together with other software;
    • Innovative use or evaluations of existing Stata commands;
    • New analytic methods of particular relevance to Stata users;
    • Case studies using Stata for applications in various disciplines;
    • Methods and resources for teaching statistics with Stata or for teaching the use of Stata.
    As at past UK Conferences, the programme will also include several one-hour talks from invited speakers and StataCorp developers.

    *Early Career Prize:
    • A £250 contribution from Timberlake to cover travel and accomodation expenses for the conference;
    • Accepted poster submissions will all receive a £30 Stata Press book voucher.
    The submission deadline is Friday 30th May 2025.

    I am bumping this thread for our second call for presentations.

    The call is still the same as above. While there are many regional Stata conferences all over the world, the UK Stata Conference is the longest-running one with a high quality of presentations. Join us in London in September, be part of the community, and use this chance for talking to StataCorp developers and like-minded programmers and applied researchers.

    To submit an abstract for a presentation, simply go to https://www.timberlake-conferences.com/ and complete the submission form.
