formatting text in putdocx textblock

Is there a way to format text within putdocx textblocks?
For example, to make a bulleted list or make a single word bold.
Just cannot find the documentation or guess how to do it.

The short answer is no. The textblock is intened for a block of text with uniform style hence it's not up to handle text with mixed styles.
