I am currently working on Total Factor Productivity (TFP) estimation for manufacturing industries. I am using the "PRODEST" package and I want to use Wooldridge's algorithm. But I have a query regarding the TFP estimation after estimating the production function. After estimating the production function, I would appreciate any guidance on the appropriate command for generating TFP. Specifically, I am uncertain whether using the "predict (varname), resid" command will correctly generate the TFP estimates in log for Wooldridge's algorithm.
