Weighting

Hello, i am creating a wealth index, but before this i would like to add weights to the assets (roof material, floor material, electricity, radio, phone, TV car, motorcycle, bicycle, safe_water) present in my data set, how can i go about this?

Also, what should be considered when assigning weights?
