Hello Stata community
I have a dataset that provides GPS coordinates for each observation, across multiple countries. What I would like to do is to map each of these coordinates to the first administrative level of each country (states or provinces, for example). So far, I have been doing this manually by checking the coordinates against Google Maps and inputting the correct state or province. However, this process gets a bit tedious and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way in which this could be automated?
