Double triple click no longer highlights

Hi,

I’ve noticed that double-clicking no longer highlights a word, and triple-clicking doesn’t select the entire line. Is there a way to fix this?

Those features still work on my setup (version 18.5 MP4, on Windows 10). What version of Stata are you using, and what is your OS?.

I have macOS and Stata 18.0. Certain features that used to work are no longer functioning, but this issue is only happening in Stata.

I have no advice to offer as to the specific nature of the problem. The fact that no other Mac Users have responded reporting that they have this same problem suggests (though with less certainty because this is the weekend and fewer people are active) that the problem lies in your specific installation. Here are some generic steps you can take.

1. Run -update, all force- to make sure that all of your Stata files are up-to-date and compatible with each other. Sometimes this alone fixes this kind of problem.
2. If that does not work, shut down and then reboot your computer and try again.
3. If still no joy, uninstall Stata, re-install it, and then run -update, all force- and see if that makes the difference.

If none of that works, and if nobody else here has come up with a solution, I suggest you contact StataCorp's technical support people about this.

Hi - I am also having the same problem and am also using macOS - Stata18.5. Wondering if the original poster discovered a fix? I will try your recommendations as well, Dr. Schechter.
