  • Store regression fixed effect coefficients as a new variable

    Hi all

I have match-level data regarding professional (association) football teams and managers. In order to quantify the manager quality, I have run a simple FE oprobit model in which the dependent variable is points received (3, 1, 0) and I include i.teamid and i.managerid as regressors, under the guidance of my PhD supervisor. Thus, every manager has a coefficient associated with them which can be broadly be taken to proxy manager ability. What I'd now like to do is create a new variable called "managerquality" and have it consist of the coefficient associated with the manager in charge of that particular match in the dataset.

I could do this on Excel but trying to work on my STATA skills, so I can just add the necessary code to my do-file.

Hope that makes sense. Please let me know if you need any further information.

    Many thanks

    Jonathan

    Jonathan:
    welcome to this forum.
Please read and act on the FAQ when posting: sharring what you coded and what Stata gave you back would be really helpful. Thank you.
    Kind regards,
