Inquiry on handling COVID period (Subsampling vs COVID period dummy)

I am conducting an analysis using Stata and need guidance on how to handle the COVID-19 period in my dataset.
I'm considering either subsampling by excluding the COVID period or including time dummies for the COVID period.
Could you advise on the best approach for this scenario?
