I'm having an issue with the command synth2. My aim is to estimate the effect of a treatment on the number of y02t patents filed in my state(13). This is my script:
synth2 n_y02t n_y02t(1977) n_y02t(1981) n_y02t(1985) n_total n_transport gdp_percapita co2_kton rd_spending, trunit(13) trperiod(1990) nested allopt placebo(unit).
I obtained some high values of bias for some predictors, and for the in-space placebo I got the error: convergence not achieved.
I've tried to remove some predictors but the output is very similar each time and the pacebo is always impossible to run. How could I solve this?
