Hello Everyone!
Over the last few days, using my personal computer, I have tried to install commands using the 'net install from' option over 'ssc install'. This I have done as some of the commands I have tried running were updated on the contributors' Github repositories and not on 'ssc'. However, a challenge I seem to face is that each time I try to 'net install' commands on any of these Github repositories, stata reports an error message, "host not found". In another series of posts, I saw the 'github' command and even after successfully installing it, when I run it, I face a similar challenge.
I have attached an image showing the specific error message and I am curious as to whether anyone has faced a similar challenge and found ways of resolving it. In the image, I face the issue with "ivreghdfe" but it has also been present with "sdid" and others. Generally, so long as if I attempt to install from Github repo, the error shows up, but when its elsewhere, the command is installed.
