can not input data fully

When trying to input excel spreadsheets into stata it is able to read the data and it is in the viewer however it comes out with an error message file not found. This is the case for every file in my working directory

you are importing, not inputting, the data. there's a difference.

I sometimes run into this problem and it's usually a directory problem.

from the main window, use file-import to hunt down the file and go through the process. It will show you the code in the window when you're done. You can then copy/paste that in your do file.
