Update issue

Is there a solution for the error below? I tried manual update through https://www.stata.com/support/updates/ but that also did not work.

Issue resolved. This thread can be deleted if that is possible. Please delete this post. It has no added value. I thought I could not delete the "locked" file but I am able to delete it as I figure.

As explained in the FAQ Advice, you can't delete your own posts. I am not one of the administrators (in essence, a team at StataCorp) but in general I think they want to delete only if you've posted something really embarrassing (let's say confidential data posted by mistake) and they need to delete if someone has been spamming or (you fill in the gap).

Thinking that a post can be or should be deleted because you now know the answer or realise that you asked a silly question would be a criterion to delete quite a lot of posts. It treats the forum as a helpline in which the original poster happens to get answers in public. Much of he point of a forum is that other people may be interested in the answers.
