I am trying to propensity match in my period prevalence cross sectional study in the NIS-HCUP medical dataset for hospitalized patients. I am trying to evaluate the prevalence odd ratio in a subpopulation(lets say patients with chrons disease) for an outcome (lets say intestinal obstruction). I am trying to propensity match that subpopulation to patients without disease. How should I proceed in stata.
2nd question- Also, I am trying to evaluate other binary outcome using logistic regression-both univariate and multivariate- I am planning to adjust for possible confounders in the multivariate analysis. Should I be incorporating propensity match into the multivariate logistic regression too? and if so how I can do that. I am new to stata so just trying to make sure that I am doing things correctly.
