Suppose I have a negative significant effect of a variable x on reading scores in the current year( hs1) . Also a negative significant effect in the lagged year (hs3) ie variable L1.x on reading scores . But I get a positive sign significant effect on reading scores in the future period (hsz1 and hsz3) ie lead1.x.Is it always the case there is something wrong with my identification?
