Scatter plot

I am trying to create a scatter plot of different spp teeth width and length and would like to change the symbols for the different species to different symbols as well as a power curvet line per spp. What would the syntax be
I am using: scatter width length, colorvar(Species_N) colordiscrete coloruseplegend colorlist(blue yellow red green orange purple pink)

to create the following graph. If I add symbol(circle) it tells me it can't find circle
