qreg2 independent variable

Hi everyone,
Looking for some assistance with qreg2 command.

My current command is: qreg2 n1 group side age sex, cluster(participant)

• N1 is a dependent variable.
• Group, side, age and sex are dependent variable.

Does qreg2 have any rules regarding the dependent variables being continuous or categorical? Our ‘age’ variable was initially continuous data, but we had recently converted them to categorical.

In other words, can we have age being a continuous variable in this analysis?

Dear Shayne,

The dependent variable needs to be continuous (as for most cases when we estimate conditional quantiles), but there are no restriction on the regressors.
