How can I extract quarterly data from an annual time series data

Please, I am using Stata 17, and will like to know if there is any procedure for extracting quarterly data from my annual time series dataset.

The magic words are difficult (you can't extract what isn't there) and Denton (a way to get finer scale "data" if you have some other information).
