how to prevent truncation of longer variable names

I'm running some simple linear regressions using Stata's regress function.

One table looks like this:

The very next table looks like this

How can I ensure that in every table output displays the full variable recode_CVDBALANCE_W77?

Simply, why not just revise the variable name? It does not look good for making public.

Thank you. I agree, I'll have to probably shorten the names. It's just that I'm one of those people who likes their variable names to be as descriptive as possible.

Yes, I reordered the order of levels in the original variable name.

Question for you: would you happen to know a suitable length I can keep a variable name so STATA will never truncate it further? I.e., how many characters? Thanks.

I don't know off the top of my head. Never is a strong word! Back in the day variable names were I think limited to 8 characters, so I guess that should work everywhere.
