autocomplete paths with tabs only work at first level

Until recently, I have been able to complete paths after a " using the tab button in Stata 18.
Writing, e.g.,

cd "c:/

I would get a list of folders and files to choose from.
After selecting a folder, I used to be able to press the tab and get the next level of folders and files.
However, I can't do the latter anymore.

It is probably me who accidentally set a switch somewhere.
Can someone help me get the functionality back?
PS It works correctly in my Stata 15.

Hi , are you able to get path autocompletion in the Stata Editor? I have never been able to and it is a pain point for me. Would love to hear how you do it!
