Problems with executing do-files using ctrl+D shortcut

I usually run do-files using shortcut (CTRL+D). Today, out of the blue, this command has stopped working. It was working this morning, but now it is ignored. I have done everything I could come up with: updating Stata, rebooting the pc several times, resetting toolbar. Note: it is not a keyboard issue - I can make it work on a remote desktop. Has anyone encountered the same problem?

Some follow-up info from me:
- I'm using Stata version 16.1, and my current update level is 13 June 2023.
- Other keyboard shortcuts work in the do-file - ctrl+r, ctrl+alt+d, ctrl+shift+d, ctrl+u, etc.

Inge, does your PC have "game mode" turned on? I had never looked at this setting before, but I tried turning it off, and now ctrl+d works as expected. Please let me know if that works for you as well!

Thanks for your respond. Unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. Other colleagues experience the same problem, so I guess it is some caused by an update from the IT-departement.

I am also having the same issue using Stata 18. I have just tried shift+ctrl+D and it worked!
Not sure why this was suddenly changed, gets slightly more complicated this way: ctrl+D is much easier.

Update on the above:

Apparently shift+ctrl+D runs everything else after the highlighted .do line so this doesn't really address the problem. Perhaps this is a pre-existing short cut that I didn't know about until now.

Thanks Ayesha, I found out ctrl+alt+D works (more or less) the same way as Ctrl+D used to do. But it is quite annoying that Ctrl+D doesn't work anymore

We want to let everyone know that Stata has not changed any behavior related to Ctrl+D in the Do File Editor. We have received a few similar reports through tech support, but we have not been able to reproduce the issue here. We believe that something on the affected systems in intercepting the Ctrl+D keystroke before it gets to Stata.

We found this thread on Reddit which might be relevant: https://www.reddit.com/r/WindowsHelp...ter_kb5033375/. This thread seems to indicate that WebEx is somehow causing the issue. We don't have any first hand knowledge of that software however.

James, thanks for the hint. I disabled the shortcut "Ctrl+D" in WebEx, and everything works fine now :-)
