Why is there mismatch error when using the table1_mc code?

I am creating my table 1 using this code table1_mc, by (totACE) vars(Age contn %4.0f Empl cat %4.0f ethn cat %4.0f Educ cat %4.0f Sm cat %4.0f Alci\o cat %4.0f Cana cat %4.0f Depr contn %4.0f Anx %4.0f contn) nospace percent onecol missing total(before) and keep getting mismatch code. any recs? I'm relatively new to stata

Alci\o is that correct as a variable name?

Is any of those variables string?

It's meant to be Alco, I must have accidentally typed that after pasting.

They shouldn't be, they are smoking, cannabis, alcohol status, employment, education, anxiety, and depression score. all have numerical values. if they are, do i destring them before using table1 code?
