Formatting and outputting regression equations for use in research paper

Hi All,

I'm writing my first economics research paper and I'm wondering how to output nice looking regression equations like the ones seen in most research papers with subscripts and the little (x) next to the equation. They all seem to be in the same format and font so I'm assuming they come from stata. Is this something stata can do (output an equation to word with autofilled subscripts) or do researchers just re-write these equations in their word processor?
I've figured out how to use -outreg- and -asdoc- to output my regression results and summary tables but can't seem to find a command like that for equations themselves.

A lot of scientific writing happens in LaTeX, and the regression equations are formatted and typeset in LaTeX. Microsoft Word also has decent support for math notation and equations (via the "Equation Editor"). This is not something that Stata is used for.
