  • Missing font for Stata Journal compilation

    Hi all,

In preparing a submission for The Stata Journal, my LaTeX compilation is throwing up the following error (though note that I am still able to successfully compile the manuscript):

    Code:
"required font Helvetica-0 not found in font map"
My "inference (of sorts)" is that this is the font used for SJ figure captions, since the the resulting compilation appears to use the same font for these captions as that used for the main text, whereas they should be different.

I'd appreciate it if anyone on here could shed some light on this issue, and point me towards some possible solutions? I can't find anything online about the "Helvetica-0" font, and I have a full suite of Helvetica-based fonts installed on my machine.

I should add that I'm using a MiKTeX installation with TeXworks as the "front-end".

    Thanks!

I believe the same happened when I compiled my last Stata Journal manuscripts. Short answer: Just ignore. As long as the manuscript compiles successfully, this is nothing to worry about. You do not have to provide a publication-ready pdf document.

Sebastian Kripfganz Thanks for sharing your experience; good to know its not just me missing something obvious.
That said, part of the feedback of my initial submission was that the caption font was incorrectly specified, so you can hopefully see my dilemma? I suppose I will just flag this issue in a cover letter for my resubmission
