Hi,
I am trying to replicate Ziebarth's 2013 paper, entitled 'Identifying the Effects of Bank Failures from a Natural Experiment in Mississippi during the Great Depression', particularly Table 2 and the county-level estimates. However, I am finding difficulty to get the right number of observations (148), and more so the use of weights. I require weights according to the number of plants in each county, however I only have available information on the 'firmid'. Would you be able to suggest a command that somehow aggregates the 'firmid' information and gives me the number of firms in each county? And then how can I use this in the 'aweight' command afterwards?
Many thanks for your help!
