  • Parallel trend testing with different base years

    Hi SATA-members!

I am currently facing some issues in my parallel testing and as my STATA knowledge is quite limited I hope that someone here could help me crack this!

I am doing a DD regression with different years as the interference for different companies. E.g. one company has the event in 2009 and another one in 2016. They have been assigned control group that are in the same timeline as the treated company, but I am not really sure how to do the parallel testing. Previously I have always done it via t-testing years before, and I did make a go at instead looking at number of years before. However, I think I need to encounter for what year the companies are in when doing the parallel trends analysis.

Is there anyone here who might have stumbled upon a similar issue and have a good tip for a solution?

    Best regards

Look up didmultiple_gt by Chaisemartin and d'Haultfoeuille or FernandoRios's CSDID commands- these are designed for multiple treated units across time/staggered adoption.

    Or, see this
