  • bysort: asdoc sum (using two variables)

Hi! Iam having trouble using the bysort asdoc sum command.

My data consists of nine cross sectional units (men born 1990-99) and i want to show descriptive statistics for two control variables, is this possible?

I like to create a table looking like this:
    N Mean N Mean
    Men born:
    1930 100 50
    1931 100 50
    1932 100 50
    1933 100 50
    Kinds regards,
    Andre

There is no ready made template for creating such tables. However, one can develop such a template with flexmat and export it to any format (docx, xlsx, html, tex) with asdocx. flexmat is available on SSC and asdocx is a premium version of asdoc, see details here https://fintechprofessor.com/asdocx/

    Code:
    ssc install flexmat
    help flexmat

Check out my asdoc program, which sends outputs to MS Word.
For more flexibility, consider using asdocx which can send Stata outputs to MS Word, Excel, LaTeX, or HTML.
