Questions on Binscatter

Hi everyone,

I have two questions related to the binscatter command.
1. Is there a way to produce standard errors on the LINE on binscatter? So, not on the points, but on the line.
2. Is there a way to choose quantile spacing instead of evenly spaced bins? I see the nquantiles() command but the description says "number of equal sized bins."

binscatter is from SSC, as you are asked to explain (FAQ Advice #12). Its author, Michael Stepner, hasn't posted here in a while, so if you don't get good answers you might need to email him directly. He's moved, I think, since the latest help was posted on SSC.

I haven't used it beyond occasionally and a while back, but I guess your #2 answers itself, that nquantiles() gets you quantile bins.
