  • Synthetic controls command for pval_graphs

    Hi everyone,

I am working on a synthetic control methods paper.

I run the synth command and then the synth_runner for the placebo tests. I continue using:
    single_treatment_graphs, trlinediff(-1) effects_ylabels (-30(10)30) effects_ymax(35) effects_ymin(-35)
    effect_graphs
    pval_graphs

Everything works perfect, but, I wanted to ask if anyone can help me find the command that creates a nice histogram that shows the post-treatment period-by-period p-values for the average effects. It should be the one to refer to the inference and shows the deviation of the treated during the post intervention. I have seen them in many papers such as Lawson et. al (2019) on the effect of Georgia's 2004 market reforms. DOI:10.1111/ecot.12205. I have attached the part of the paper that displays the Figure.

Your advice will be very much appreciated.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I wanna say synth_runner does this. I think it's on SSC.

But, Cunningham describes what's going on under the hood in his excellent chapter, https://mixtape.scunning.com/synthetic-control.html

Thanks Jared. I had already done synth_runner, but I prefer to use the bar chart to show the placebo tests instead of the tables. I will take a look on what you shared with me. I appreciate it.
