Dear all,
I have an unbalanced panel with a high number of countries over the periods 1963-2019. I want to replicate some regressions from a paper (picture attached). What the paper calls initial productivity is the first value of value added per worker for any industry i in year t for country j (all industries are within the same sector).
In addition, I would like to incorporate five year periods in my regressions in order to avoid losing observations (some countries do not observations for particular years but for sure over a time frame). For instance, I would like to incorporate log of initial productivity (1970-1975,1975-1980, 1980-1985, and so on). Thank you!
