Stata not directing to correct PDF section after -help topic-

Hello everyone,

Anyone having trouble in accessing the *.pdf manuals from Stata after the -help topic- command? For example. After my command -help putexcel-, when I click "(View complete PDF manual entry)" Stata takes me to the list of all pdf manuals Stata has in its repository instead opening the particular pdf I am after. I restarted both Stata and Adobe several times without any success. Is this happening to others or just in my system? I know I can access the PDF I am after from Google search but that is not the solution I am after.

Environment: macOS Monterey. Version: 12.1
Stata version: 17

Works fine for me in Stata 17 and 16. I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on a Win10 machine, so my setup differs from yours.

I am also on Mac OS 12.1 and have a fully updated Stata (17.0) and it works fine for me; possibly something in this FAQ will help: https://www.stata.com/support/faqs/r...entation-tips/

Hi Richard and Rich thanks so much for replying. Rich that link was very helpful and sorted the problem. I have never done anything to these but that check box "Close documentation using accessibility control" was unchecked!
