Sir David Cox passed away on January 18 the last, aged 97 (https://errorstatistics.com/2022/01/20/sir-david-cox/).
Those who, like me, have learnt a lot from his boundless scientific production (especially as far as semi-parametric survival analysis is concerned - -stcox- command in Stata), have a reason to be grateful to him .

Yes, Bruce: if I'm not mistaken, Alan Williams (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_W...28economist%29), who was professor of (health) economics with the University of York, UK played a relevant role in the so called "fair innings" debate (https://www.york.ac.uk/che/publicati...alan-williams; some interesting criticisms to this approach are reported in https://bmcmedethics.biomedcentral.c.../1472-6939-1-1).
