  • Converting SEM (or GSEM) syntax into a diagram

    Dear all,
I am running a syntax for path analysis and CFA using gsem in Stata 15.1, I can't find how to convert the syntax into a diagram without having to build the eqns. in the SEM builder from scratch . Is there such an option?
Thanks in advance for any help,
    Anat

Stata does not draw SEM diagrams for you. You
have to use the SEM Builder and draw yourself.

(Contrary to what some on Statalist have said previously, such a feature would be possible. semPlot in R and Diagrammer for Mplus draw SEM diagrams based on estimated models. But not Stata.)

Thank you Christopher! It is weird.. It does "convert" the diagram into command syntax, it would be very useful to have the other way around.. Thanks for saving me the effort of searching this option.

If you intend to publish such models, you would probably still need to draw them. Neither semPlot nor Diagrammer draw nice looking diagrams of full SEM models.
