  • Preacher Hayes Process Model 4 for Panel data code

Hello, I am trying to check the mediation effect of firm innovation on the relationship between Chief Marketing Officer presence and firm financial performance.

Firm innovation is the mediator variable, CMO presence is the independent variable coded as 0 for CMO presence and 1 for CMO absence. Firm financial performance is the independent variable and the lagged firm performance is the control variable in my dataset.

My data is panel data, I have collected it for 97 firms for the period of 20 years and have created id variables for each firm.

My question is that is there some code which I can use to replicate PROCESS bootstrapping model 4 in Stata? Since Stata is ideal for handling panel data

You are not receiving any response because of not adhering to forum rules of posting. As per rules, you are required to explain what 'PROCESS' means or who is 'Preacher'. See forum rules for citing an article properly and explanation of technical jargon and how best to provide data example using -dataex- so that people in this forum can replicate your problem to provide you a solution.

I can only assume that you are after mediation effect in a panel dataset followed by bootstrapping standard error. Mediation effects are product coefficient and can be estimated using Stata's Structural Equation Modelling 'sem' command. See 'sem' help file [help sem] for fitting panel data/multilevel data and how to estimate product coefficient. After you have estimated the product coefficient, an example of bootstrapping the standard error is given in this post reply #5
