I am calculating the number of hospital admission as well as length of stay. The data is at the record level (i..e, each admission). However, some patients were discharged, but they were re-hospitalized at the same hospital in the same day. I don't want to count this as an additional admission, but add this LOS to the original LOS. However, the issue is that some patients have across multiple records. Could you please let me know how to make STATA codes efficiently?
