frame drop _all

We can drop _all, program drop _all, matrix drop _all. Why do we need to frame reset instead of being able to do frame drop _all? Is it to avoid confusing about what happens to the currently active frame?

In a similar vein, why is there no cwf <name>, new option to immediately change to a new frame? Example situation: you have a dataset open but want to check a different dataset real quick. I'd be great if I could go to the command window, type, cwf temp, new and then open the different dataset, do my checks and then close it with cwf default, drop where the drop option tells Stata to drop the current frame after changing to the default frame.

Re #2, wouldn't the -frame <name>:- prefix be suitable for your scenario, such as prepended to -browse-?

You still need to create the new frame first and as far as I can tell you also need to remember to drop it? And then on top of that you need to always prefix the frame <name>: part, which sounds like a hassle. Instead, I'd find it much easier to remember that I can do for example, cwf, temp, do my stuff and then cwf default. Where the temp option tells cwf to create a temporary frame that self destructs the moment it is abandoned.
