Hello!
I am new to stata and am conducting a fixed effects panel analysis on the effect of maternity and parental leave on several labour market outcomes. A lot of the literature suggests that I have to use country-specific time trends. I was wondering if there was a test that indicates whether this should be used.
I came across the unit root test, yet am not completely sure whether it is the right test for this question. Moreover, when trying to run the rest I faced the following error code:
xtunitroot ips moth_leave, demean trend
no observations
r(2000);
Thank you!
