I hope this email finds you in good shape. I am Yacobou SANOUSSI, PhD at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Kara located in the North of Togo (a country in West Africa). I am a researcher who is interested in the field of health. Currently, I am working on the dynamics of health spending with a focus on catastrophic health spending in Togo. I intend to use household survey data to build a synthetic panel. For my work, I have practical difficulties in building the synthetic panel and moving to estimates. If possible, I would like to have your technical support to be able to carry out this research work.
The data I want to use comes from household surveys on the Unified Questionnaire for Basic Indicators of Well-being (QUIBB). The data is collected in sections. there is section for households and individuals. I want to use these surveys for two years to build the synthetic panel and do a dynamic analysis of catastrophic health expenditures. The goal is to see:
1. the evolution of catastrophic expenditure over the period
2. Households with catastrophic expenditures whose situation has changed over the period
2. Households with catastrophic expenditures whose situation has not changed over the period
3. Households that do not make catstrophic expenditures and whose situation has changed
4. Households that do not make catastrophic expenditures and whose situation has not changed
I would like to have a Practical Note on Stata code for synthetic panel construction.
