Problem with merging

After I deleted a country in my panel data I saved my dataset but it still creates problem when I want to merge. In another words, after merging it stills shows on my master and the merging is not unique.

Without sharing an example, including command as well as an abridged version of the datasets, it is hard to hazard a guess.

By the way, I wonder whether you used - update - as an option, which could well be the reason...

That said, if the issue is just to exclude a given country, this can be done after the merging as well.

That's a problem since the data set contains a lot of countries and variables.
I found a cleaver way to do that. I first deleted the old id and crated a new id in both datasets and then merge them and it works perfectly.
